Mr Kalley took up his position as Assistant Headteacher responsible for student progress and development at the Boys’ School in January 2019. Prior to this, he was Head of Sixth Form at the Boys’ School for five years, leading on curriculum change, academic and pastoral support, the Poland trip and UCAS applications, amongst other areas relevant to the sixth form. He is also responsible for the delivery of British Values and SMSC education across both schools and has implemented changes such as British Values form time sessions as well as creating links based on community cohesion with other local schools and Arsenal Football Club. He joined Hasmonean in September 2011, having completed his PGCE in secondary school teaching and graduated from the University of Surrey with a BA in Politics. Mr Kalley teaches both Geography and Politics at Key Stage 5 and was an award winner at the 2018 Jewish Teaching Awards, winning the Mental Health and Wellbeing Champion award. Having gained his NPQSL in 2016, Mr Kalley is currently working towards his NPQH, a national Headteacher qualification.
